Aaaand done. I’m actually really happy with this! I think I’m finally getting the hang of shading. Still not perfect, but getting there.
Anyhoo, this is my WoW toon I’ve been playing for the last month or so. She’s basically a dwarven fem-demo from TF2*, and is pretty hilarious to RP! Anyone playing on Argent Dawn EU, feel free to send me a message :D
*Note: Just so you know, they don’t have black dwarves in WoW, so this tannish-colour is the closest I could get. I know, whitewashing sucks :/

Yeah, I drew those Regular Show guys, seeing as both artists did stuff with animals in (Tezuka’s Kimba, Chuck Jones’… well everything, really). I’m not too happy with how Mordo turned out though, I might redo this if I have the patience at some point. :P

That was fun! I haven’t heard of this guy nor Magi Nation, but I swear the art seems familiar; I feel like his style draws inspiration from old school European comics, so maybe that’s it.
Oh, and because you didn’t specify a character or anything, I just decided to draw the first one that came into my head, which in this case is Quote from Cave Story. Is that breaking the rules of this whole premise? I’d draw more of my own characters but I don’t really have that many :P

Earlier today, all of a sudden I felt nostalgic for WoW for some bizarre reason.Yeah, it was a huge time-waster (not to mention expensive) but all in all it was really fun! Both in terms of gameplay (raiding mostly, pvp maybe not so much) and also the RP; I met loads of cool people doing both! Still I doubt I’m going to get back into it anytime soon. I might check out the Pandaria page later, apparently they’ve got a trailer and bestiary up and everything.
Anyway, trying out inking freehand (no sketch!) to try and get a better flow in my linework ‘cause lately I’ve been getting kind of frustrated with how choppy and ugly it seems to be coming out lately. Also tried putting down the values down before I colour because that’s a thing that you should do apparently? but I don’t really know where to go from here. :/
Oh yeah, before I forget, this guy is a Taunka. They live in Northrend and are basically bad ass sub-polar Tauren. I was always really disappointed how they only have a male model though; female Taunka use the default Tauren one. At least that meant I could have one as an RP character without breaking immersion, but still.
EDIT: oh wow that is way tinier than I expected jeez

I think I’ll call this guy Aurochs (appropriate, given the Legion connection and brutish appearance).
But yeah, turns out an amazing weapon and tagged Big Guns skill doesn’t help much when you have no ammo, nor points in Repair - not to mention I doubt his finger would fit through the trigger! Silly mutant.

I think I got the hang of the brush tool in SAI by now, I can actually ink somewhat decently with it! Maybe it’s a sign I should actually draw that comic I’m always planning to draw (I am a level 100 procrastinator)
Next on the agenda though: learn how to shade/ render lighting (oh god)
